The spectator makes the picture.

Marcel Duchamp

Most of us spend regular sums of time and money adorning our bodies. Women paint their eyelashes with mascara, adorn their breasts with bras. Men pump muscles, wear ties. If nothing else, we furnish our nakedness to avoid the heat, the rain, the frost, the law.

Is an adorned body so different from an upholstered chair? Our furnished limbs turn to shapes and things under the gaze of the sun.
