Grow
The growth and divergence of Tasmania, pre and post-colonisation, is symbolised by the choice of materials for my Grow light. Chain Of Custody Tasmanian Blackwood veneer represents our island’s natural forests andoriginal indigenous population…the timber grain and growth marks expressesthe unmodulated progress of life pre-settlement. The Tasmanian Oak alludes to Tasmania’s discovery and subsequent culture change…the stylised graphic represents the introduction of colonial craft, tatting, cross-stitch and embroidery, enriching the shapes of shadow and illumination. These luminaires are shipped flat-packed for efficient transporting and tool – free assembly.
